In today’s climate, abandoning the work of fostering equity and belonging isn’t just risky – it’s actively detrimental to the wellbeing of your organization.

Now more than ever, leaders and organizations cannot afford to view DEI as just another trend.

This work is non-negotiable for any human enterprise’s success – because at our core, we humans are wired for belonging.

The current environment is creating unprecedented levels of disconnection and non-belonging, making it critical for businesses – and especially their leadership – to invest in fostering inclusion.

This is the moment to strengthen your inclusion and emotional resilience muscles – ensuring that your workplace becomes a safe refuge where all team members find solace and support amidst the turbulence outside.

Investing in equity + belonging isn’t just about being ethical, or even nice – it’s essential for the wellbeing of both your employees, and your business.

In times of uncertainty, the companies that thrive are the ones that prioritize their people.

If you’re a leader who wants to stay ahead of the current and upcoming challenges and want to stay in front of your learning edge, then you cannot afford to lean into coaching only in emergencies.

CONSULTING FOR CHANGE
LEADERS & ORGANIZATIONS

I’m a DEI Strategist and Inclusion & Emotion Resilience Coach with over 15 years of experience across corporate, nonprofit, government, and education sectors. I work with high-impact, heart-centered, and hig-integrity executives who understand the importance of systemizing belonging and inclusion but don’t know how to go about achieving it.

Growing up as a second-generation Punjabi, Muslim immigrant and bi-continental citizen, I have chased belonging my entire life. I yearned to be seen, heard, and valued by systems that were built without people like me in mind, and I change that.

I’ve seen well-intentioned leaders try but stuggle to make lasting systemic changes needed to create equity, causing undue fear, stress, and burnout.

That’s why I started Zarafa Consulting – to empower leaders to level up their DEI competencies so that they can confidently create cultures where equity is pursued and where belonging is the norm.

My Philosophy

If we want meaningful change, we have to put in the work to build systems to sustain that change. We hate to step out of our comfort zone and start taking action.

Consider me your personal trainer in DEI to help you strengthen your DEI leadership muscles so that you can make impactful systemic changes to nurture thriving cultures.

I facilitate top-down culture change focusing on integrating DEI competencies and data-informed strategies into core business functions.

We’ll assess your current position, map out your strategy, and design effective tactics to implement.

This approach gives inclusive leaders a competitive edge and creates a workplace culture where love for work drives business success by attracting and retaining diverse talent, keeping employees engaged, and inspiring collaboration and innovation.
